She is the author of the book, “Kindness Now: A 28-Day Guide to Living with Authenticity, Intention and Compassion”. Amanda also holds a degree in Holistic Health Studies and Sustainable Agriculture from Prescott College.
Before she dedicated herself to teaching full-time, Amanda was the Center Director for The Aging Metabolism and Emotions Center at the University of San Francisco. There she conducted clinical research, and published investigations on the biological and psychological effects of mindfulness and meditation.
Amanda’s meditation journey began at the age of seventeen while being homeschooled in West Virginia by a group of Native Elders who were African, South American, and Native American. After her studies at Prescott College, Amanda found a daily meditation practice that assisted in her healing progress from trauma in her early adulthood. Just as she had embarked on her path to a life filled with more resilience, wisdom, inner strength, and happiness.
Amanda’s mission is to guide, connect, and empower others to do the same, and live the best lives they’ve ever had. She currently lives in Los Angeles and teaches meditation publicly, privately, and in corporations daily.
