Welcome to this meditation where we will be drifting down a river of sleep into deeply nourishing rest.
My name is Michael, and I will be your guide this evening.
Take a few moments to settle yourself as comfortably as possible, lying down—perhaps in your bed—finding a position where your body can be fully supported, free of any tension.
As you begin to settle, find a comfortable place for your hands—either resting by your sides with the palms facing up or gently placed on your body.
Take a deep breath in, curling your toes and squeezing your hands… and then gently release, letting go.
Together, let’s take a slow, full inhale through the nose… and a soft exhale out through the mouth. Let’s try that once more—inhale deeply through the nose… and fully let go on the exhale.
Now, allow your eyes to close, softening them into their sockets.
Continue breathing in and out through the nose, allowing your breath to guide you deeper into relaxation.
