Transcript
Welcome to this meditation on the topic of Sleep is Personal: Understanding Your Body’s Needs. My name is Michael, and I will be your guide on this journey.
Take a moment to find a comfortable seat. Lengthen your spine, soften your shoulders, jaw, and facial muscles, and allow your body to relax. Find a natural resting place for your hands.
Feel free to close your eyes or keep them softly focused on a still point ahead.
Together, let’s take a slow, deep breath in through the nose… and a gentle sighing exhale out of the mouth. Let’s try that once more—inhale slowly and deeply… and exhale, letting it go.
Now, keeping your lips softly sealed, begin breathing in and out through your nose. Allow your breath to flow effortlessly, dissolving any pauses between inhales and exhales, creating a seamless transition—one breath at a time.
Let this breath be the foundation for the rest of your practice.
In this meditation, we will explore why sleep is a personal experience and how we can better understand and honor our body’s unique needs.
