Transcript
Welcome to this meditation on stillness and falling asleep. My name is Michael, and I will be your guide on this journey this evening.
Take the next few moments to settle into a comfortable position, perhaps lying on your back in bed. Support your head with a pillow, drape a blanket over your body, and take a moment to make yourself as cozy as possible.
Once your body is settled, find a natural placement for your hands—either resting gently on your body to sense and feel your breath or placed by your sides with the palms facing upward.
From here, let’s take a slow, deep inhale through the nose… and a gentle sighing exhale through the mouth. Let’s try that again—this time, inhaling a little slower, a little deeper… and exhaling fully, letting it all go.
Feel your body softening into the surface beneath you, surrendering to rest.
Now, keep your lips gently sealed and allow your breath to flow effortlessly in and out through your nose. Let any pauses or brief moments of retention between inhales and exhales dissolve, creating a seamless, cyclical rhythm—one breath at a time.
