Hello and welcome to this guided meditation.
My name is Marissa, and today, we will be focusing on soft belly breathing to help us fall asleep.
Taking belly breaths is a great way to signal to both your mind and body that it’s time to rest and relax.
To begin, take a moment to get comfortable and cozy.
Whether that means lying down in bed, resting on a soft surface, sitting with a pillow at your back, or snuggling up with your favorite blanket—whatever feels most cozy for you.
Take a moment now to settle in and get ready for rest.
Today, we’ll practice soft belly breathing, which is a type of breathing exercise designed to help you relax.
Before we begin, let’s talk about why deep breathing is so important.
Throughout this meditation, all you need to do is listen to the sound of my voice.
You don’t need to worry about anything that might happen in the future—not tomorrow, or the next day.
And you don’t need to think about anything from the past—not yesterday, or the day before.
All you need to do right now is listen to my voice, here and now, giving yourself this precious time to rest and relax.
