Hello, my name is Shayna, and welcome to your practice.

I am grateful to guide you on this journey of cultivating gratitude with your partner.

You are welcome to practice this meditation alone or with a partner.

Whether or not you are currently in a relationship, this is an opportunity to explore and embody the power of gratitude.

And of course, if you are practicing with your partner, that is strongly encouraged.

Let’s Begin
Take a few moments to find a comfortable space to practice.

If practicing with a partner, I invite you to sit facing each other.

If practicing alone, you can visualize yourself sharing this practice with a loved one or hold space for the presence of deep connection in your life.

Once you’ve found a comfortable seat, gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in through your nose, lengthening your spine all the way to the crown of your head, feeling your connection to space, to the universe.

Exhale softly through your mouth, releasing any tension from your jaw, your belly, your body.

Together, let’s take a slow, deep inhale, simply noticing, receiving… hold…

And exhale out through your mouth, letting go of any stale air, simply observing the transition from breath to breath.

Now, I invite each of you to place one hand over your heart, resting gently in the center of your chest.

Let’s begin to call to heart something you appreciate about your partner—or about yourself, if you’re practicing alone.

It could be:

A quality they possess.
Something they did recently.
Or simply their presence in your life.
Take a few moments to notice what comes up for you.

Feel free to stay and meditate for as long as you desire.

I look forward to meditating with you again soon.

Bye for now.
